Bible Text: Habakkuk 3:17–18
“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls.
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” — Habakkuk 3:17–18 (KJV)
When Life Doesn’t Go as Planned
Sometimes, despite our best efforts, life simply does not go the way we expect. Prayers seem unanswered, sickness lingers, and hearts grow weary from loneliness or loss. Even the strongest believers and most anointed individuals are not exempt from life’s uncertainties.
But like the prophet Habakkuk, we have a choice, a divine response that transcends circumstances. We can choose to rejoice.
Choosing Joy in the Midst of Trials
When everything seems to fall apart, rejoicing may feel unnatural. Yet it is exactly what faith calls us to do.
We rejoice not because everything is perfect, but because we serve a faithful God whose mercies are new every morning.
We rejoice because:
- It is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.
- Our situation is not the end of the story.
- A miracle is on the way and it will definitely end in praise.
Whatever challenge you are facing today, be it pain, loss, loneliness, sickness, lack, unemployment, or separation, remember this: you are not alone.
At Faith Leads University, you have a community of believers standing in faith and praying with you.
So, choose to rejoice.
Rejoice in hope. Rejoice in faith. Rejoice because God is not done yet.
Why Should I Rejoice?
Because the Word of God gives us assurance:
“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God…” — Romans 8:28
And when God is done working all things for your good, your joy will become the key to your restoration.
As Isaiah 12:3 says:
“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”
Joy is not just an emotion; it is a spiritual weapon. It keeps your faith alive and your heart connected to the promises of God.
Stay with Jesus — He Will Come Through for You
No matter how long the wait feels, hold on to Jesus. He never fails.
When it’s all said and done, your story will become a testimony of His faithfulness.
And if you have not yet made Jesus your Lord and Savior, don’t delay.
To postpone that decision is to gamble with eternity, and who would take that risk?
