Howdy, Angela Okatahi
Prof. Emeritus Angela Okatahi has been in Education Industry for over fifty years, as Elementary School Teacher, Secondary School Tutor and University Professor for forty years at Ahmadu Bello University, (A.B.U.) Zaria and University of Abuja, Nigeria. Her qualifications include, Bachelor of English language & Education, Masters in Educational Psychology (A.B.U.) and Ph. D (Educational Psychology) Kansas State University, Manhattan, US. She majors in Human Development and Measurement & Evaluation.
She has headed a number of departments & Deanship of Faculty of Education in both universities. She has worked with National University Commission (N.U.C.); Regulatory & Quality Control Body of Nigeria Universities. She was Team Leader in numerous accreditation exercises of universities in Nigeria.
She was a Special Adviser to Kogi State Government of Nigeria & was responsible for establishing a Higher Institution: a polytechnic in the State. She has attended numerous conferences & workshops on Education in five continents.
She is a member of a number of Educational Bodies including: American Psychological Association, (APA); Nigerian Association of Educational Psychology (NAEP); Nigerian Academy of Education (NAE) etc. And a Fellow of Nigeria Educationists, (FNE). She is Education Philanthropist; member of Christian religious & Human Rights bodies. She is recipient of many awards.
