Description

This course will provide students with an overview of information systems including hardware and software components, networking, database management, and privacy related issues, security and ethics. Students will learn how businesses and organizations use technology and information systems to make decisions. Microsoft office, office automation, web design, data analytics, cloud computing, cyber security, artificial intelligence  will be explored.

What Will I Learn?

  • Understand the basic requirements of E-commerce from a technology perspective.
  • Gain knowledge of how web design can influence customer's buying habits online.
  • Gain an understanding of how security, privacy, and ethics plays a part of how consumers engage on a website.

Welcome to E-commerce and Technology?

Class, Welcome to this course. The intent of this course is to offer a background in eCommerce overall from the hardware, software, and networking components, to the tools to be successful within the online market. This course offers a series of videos and articles to read to prepare the learners for the weekly assignments. There will also be an exam at the end of the course that will be over the key aspects of the course.
