This course offers a broad survey of the field of counseling, including an introduction to the foundational skills and processes involved in counseling relationships. Course content includes: An introduction to the process of counseling, listening and responding techniques, self-awareness, ethics and confidentiality. Students are required to produce a Portfolio which will include assessed tasks, practice observations and self-reflections.
